- The Next meeting of the Staffordshire Broadband Steering Group is on Thursday 22nd September at 11am at Rudyard Lake Field Study Centre, the main points of discussion will be * The Launch of www.sbsg.info * RBAP update * Prioritisation of Staffordshire target exchange areas * Publicity and forthcoming Broadband events * Dates for Steering group and Sub group meetings The meeting will be followed by a buffet lunch

- In order to celebrate the Staffordshire exchanges being ready to provide Broadband services, BT, Advantage West Midlands and the West Midlands Networking Company (WMNC)together with the Staffordshire Broadband Steering Group are holding a Power of Broadband Raising Awareness Event. The evening will include: Representatives from BT and the WMNC Internet Service Providers (ISPs) A number of organisations and partnerships working together to assist rural communities and business with help of Broadband. Help will also be on hand to identify exactly what level of Broadband service you should be able to recieve. Comupter Suite with interative programmes for everyone to use, (so bring the kids along!) As well as refreshmments
