One of the technologies that may well bring broadband to rural areas is Powerline Broadband whereby the signals are transmitted along the powerlines which bring your electricity.

Rural Staffordshire Online Update

Events are planned in each of the Staffordshire target exchange areas to celebrate the availability of affordable mainstream Broadband services. Events to include invitations to members of rural communities and representatives of local rural businesses. Dates of events to be publicised via the SBSG.info webiste and establised community consultation network.

A folder on this webite with actual case studies of how local people and busineses managed to connect to the Internet has been started.
