An announcement by the West Midlands Networking Company on the appointed Broadband infrastructure to carry out Broadband access solutions in each of the 24 target exchange areas (including 8 exchange areas in Staffordshire)is just around the corner - by the end of October to be precise.
This will then be followed by a timetable for enabling each targeted rural exchange, which will give the answer to the question that everyone is asking....When will our exchange area have access to Broadband ?
The Staffordshire Broadband Steering Group will be monitoring the situation closely over the coming weeks and will post relevant information on the news section and RBAP Timetable link on the www.sbsg.info website, as well as publicising the news in the local press.
So we are nearly there. The information gathered at the Broadband Roadshow events earlier this year, together with local campaigning and constant reminders by members of the Staffordshire Broadband Steering Group, will play an important part in prioritising the implementation of RBAP and we remain hopeful that Staffordshire's exchanges are amongst the first to be enabled.
