Broadband is just around the corner !!
An announcement by the West Midlands Networking Company (WMNC)will be made by the end of October on the contactor appointed to carry out Broadband access infrastructure solutions under the Rural Broadband Access Project (RBAP) in each of the 24 target rural exchange areas (including 8 in Staffordshire). Shortly after this we should know the answer to the question everyone is asking - when are we getting Broadband ?
The information gathered at the Broadband Roadshows held earlier this year, together with constant reminders from local Broadband campaigners and members of the Staffordshire Broadband Steering Group (SBSG), will play an important part in prioritising the order of enabling the target exchanges, and we are hopeful that Staffordshire's exchanges areas are amongst the first to be dealt with.
The SBSG will be monitoring the situation closely over the coming weeks, and will post the latest information, as we get it, on the News item section and the RBAP timetable link on www.sbsg.info.
So we are nearly there and thankyou to everyone for being so patient....the wait will be worth it !!!
