Will I Get Broadband??

Now the RBAP contract has been awarded, the West Midlands Networking Company (WMNC) and BT have indicated that there may still be problems in bringing a Broadband service to a small number of remote rural properties.

The general rule of thumb is that if your are within an 8.5km radius of the exchange to be enabled then you should be able to get connected to Broadband. However, the levels of service may vary depending on distance, quality of ICT infrastructure and the topography of local landscape. It must be stressed however that these cases will be very few and far between and the target of Broadband being avialable to almost 100% of the population is still a realistic objective.

Potential customers are being urged to refer to the postcode checkers on www.powerofbroadband.com, www.BT.com/broadband and www.samknows.com to find out the situation the their area, links to these websites can be found in the links section of www.sbsg.info.
